Kids Summer School Theatresports Games
This week long intensive for kids 13–18 years offers young impro addicts an opportunity to hone their skills and get their teeth stuck into the art of Improvisation.
Experienced Coaches lead the class is a variety of precise and stimulating verbal and non verbal skills.

Offering and yielding, finding the focus, advancing and extending the story, creating a scene, creating a character, developing an idea, creating place, endowing the given circumstances, speaking in gibberish, rhyme, song and mime ….
These and a host of other skills are mastered and utilised as the group learns to play the Theatresports performance games and improvise a vartiety scenes, styles and stories.

Once armed, skilled and in a safe environment, couragoeus young players go forwrad in leaps and bounds to impro lands yet imagined.
Improvisation skills support and fuel the school subjects; Drama, Year 11 & 12 Drama Syllabus improvisation, devised theatre, group and Individual performace, English and other content areas and subjects.
Kids can join in pairs, teams or as individuals. All players will play in assorted groups, teams and combos.
Improvisation skills promote; lateral thinking, problem solving, verbal and non verbal communication skills spontaneity and self confidence.
Face to face interaction, healthy play and communication with like minds sets the scene for a stimulating summer holidays week long remembered.
